Privacy Policy

Qureshi & Co. (“we”, “us”) is a small business in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use thequreshico.ca or place an order, why we collect it, and your choices. We follow Canada’s federal privacy law (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, phone number, the items you order, and any notes you add.
• Delivery details: your street address, city, province and postal code, if you choose delivery or shipping.
• Payment details: card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe and we never see or store it. For Interac e-Transfer, your bank tells us the sender’s name and email.
• Technical data: the website is hosted by GitHub Pages, which may log your IP address and browser details. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics, and the site itself sets no cookies. Stripe may set cookies on its own checkout page.

Why we collect it

• To take, confirm, invoice, pack, ship and deliver your order.
• To email you your invoice and updates about your order, and to answer your questions.
• To keep the business and tax records we are required to keep.
• To prevent fraud, spam and abuse of our order form.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed to run your order with these service providers:

• Google (Google Sheets, Drive, Gmail and Apps Script): we store order records and invoices and send order emails.
• Stripe: processes card payments.
• Canada Post: delivers shipped orders. We send them your delivery address. When we price shipping, only the destination postal code is sent.
• GitHub (website hosting) and IONOS (domain name and business email).

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local laws. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep order records, invoices and related correspondence for up to six years, because Canadian tax and accounting rules require us to keep business records. After that we delete or anonymize them.

How we protect it

The website uses HTTPS. Order records are kept in access-controlled accounts with strong sign-in protection, and only the owner has access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it (although we may need to keep order records as described above). Email contact@thequreshico.ca or call 437-992-7691. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Children

Our site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
